There is no word expressing fragile charm,
But breaks to dust at my hand's clumsy weight.
Thought is a fugitive -- I desecrate
The bluest blue of veining in your arm
With offer of the blue a gentian knows.

A sensuous ache throbs on through my prayer,
And I would hold you closely, did I dare,
With no care how the world would have us go.
I will not let those wings of our old dreams
Weigh down with tears that they no longer beat.
My adoration runs through little themes
And falls a breathless poem at your feet.
