QUEST, by LAURA M. GRADICK First Line: Beyond the far horizon's rim Last Line: I shall have had the joy of quest. Subject(s): Truth | ||||||||
Beyond the far horizon's rim, Beyond the stars that fade and dim, In heart of age and heart of youth I'm ever seeking for the truth. The tiny firefly's twinkling light, The westward rolling sun, at night, The deepest depths of ocean's floor, The heights where boldest eagles soar. Nothing too great nor yet too small To ask the reason for it all. Though truth may not reward my zest I shall have had the joy of quest. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...INCLINED TO SPEAK by LAWRENCE JOSEPH WHAT IS TRUTH? by JOHN BOWRING EVERYTHING THAT ACTS IS ACTUAL by DENISE LEVERTOV LYING MY HEAD OFF by CATE MARVIN TRUTH SERUM by NAOMI SHIHAB NYE |
