WARNING TO WHODUNIT FANS, by
First Line: You like your murders gory when they're safely in a story
Last Line: When you awake and find yourself with a murder on your hand!
Subject(s): Catskill Mountains, New York State; Farm Life; Agriculture; Farmers

You like your murders gory when they're safely in a story,
But here's a little warning I will offer free of charge:
It used to be the butler, but the readers like 'em subtler
So they're running out of suspects and the criminal's still at large.
Do you think you can recover when some author does discover
That the reader is one character he has never thought to brand?
For he'll pin the crime on you, and you won't know what to do
When you awake and find yourself with a murder on your hand!
