THE INVADER, by
First Line: I built a wall around my heart
Last Line: For there love tried to hide.
Subject(s): Love

I built a wall around my heart,
A wall so tall and strong --
I never thought a cupid's dart
Could enter there at all;
I did forget to lock the gate,
And left that swinging wide --
When I returned, it was too late,
For there love tried to hide.
