First Line: God is good, and teaches me
Last Line: For not trusting him too much.

God is good, and teaches me
Sober facts continually.

He has taught me what I am
And the proper use of damn;

He has humbled me by showing
All the little sins worth knowing;

He has let me hear him laugh
At man's pious phonograph;
And has blessed me, with his touch,
For not trusting him too much.
