LAST INCIDENT, by
First Line: In coma now / with no apparent breath
Last Line: To keep her wedding ring.
Subject(s): Sleep

In coma now --
With no apparent breath,
Well on her way
To keep the faith with death,

Past need of food,
Past knowledge of caress,
She seemed to lie
In awful loneliness.

But when one stroked her hand
In comforting,
Her fingers closed
To keep her wedding ring.
