First Line: I've had a vacancy for years
Last Line: And fill this vacancy.

I've had a vacancy for years
Within an empty heart;
A furnished room with furbelows
With love was set apart.
For the little girl, who never came
To burst my heart with joy;
But what a glorious substitute
When God sent me a boy.

Now I know that you, my son
And deft propinquity
Will make a goodly choice for me
And fill this vacancy.
