ENSARING FLOWER OF PSALMS, by                     Poet's Biography
First Line: There is a flower that blooms out of season

There is a flower that blooms out of season
and in its form
resembles
an ace of swords:
it's the color of a blade and its perfume,
that of Nemesis, stabs you.

It has an overflowing thalamus
that howls with resentment or with love,
swollen and brightly colored
like the hilt of an ace of swords.

A prophet
dreamed about it one night
and
saw it in the morning:
it was howling loudly
near the house-door, stuck into a little heap
of quivering earth
like the rump of a running colt.

It is given to very few to see
the ensnaring flower of Psalms
that blooms when the time of flowers
is far off and forgotten:
and only the most godly people
hear it moan.
