THE WILD ROSE COURAGEOUS, by                    
First Line: Undaunted by pitiless scourging
Last Line: The wild rose will blossom again.

Undaunted by pitiless scourging;
Deprived of the life-giving rain,
Emerging from grim desolation
The roses will blossom again.

Like souls who display rare, fine courage
Through years of the darkest despair;
Who still have the heart to keep hoping,
And are strengthening each day by a prayer.

The flowers will soon spread their fragrance
Over city and village and plain;
Symbolic of deathless devotion,
The wild rose will blossom again.
