MY GARDEN, by MARY M. RANDLEMAN First Line: My garden is entrancing Last Line: Their magic over all. Subject(s): Flowers; Gardens & Gardening; Lilacs | ||||||||
My garden is entrancing With its gay old fashioned flowers. There's marigold and columbine And ivy covered bowers. There's rosemary and lavender And lilacs near the gate Delphiniums and larkspur And pansies blooming late. In a little shady hollow I have a lily pool And maidenhair and iris And water cresses cool. Come walk with me at evening When purple shadows fall, And incense bearing censers swing Their magic over all. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...LILACS FOR GINSBERG by GERALD STERN LAST LOOKS AT THE LILACS by WALLACE STEVENS LILAC: FIRST EMOTIONS OF LOVE by ROBERT BURNS PRESIDENT LINCOLN'S BURIAL HYMN by WALT WHITMAN DESIGN OF WHITE LILACS by GRACE HAZARD CONKLING WITH LILACS by CHARLES HENRY CRANDALL OLD HOME by MABEL GOULD DEMERS |
