Subject(s): Singing & Singers

What is that look in your lovely eyes?
What is it, darling, you see?
Have you and the fairies some glad surprise,
Dear Little Mother-to-be?

What is that smile on your trembling lips,
So full of a sweet mystery?
Why do you thrill to your finger tips,
Dear Little Mother-to-be?

What are the words of the song you sing
In that soft tender key?
Is it a lullaby on the wing,
Dear Little Mother-to-be?

Why is your heart-beat so strong and true,
Keeping close to the heart of me?
I know -- because I am the mother of you,
Dear Little Mother-to-be!
