CAN DO, by EVERETT C. RICHMOND First Line: Don't sit around and feel blue Last Line: And he will always win for you. Subject(s): Calm; Placid; Undisturbed; Tranquility | ||||||||
Don't sit around and feel blue About what the other people do, But get right in and try, And never do say die. Now some people say it can't be done, But if you start right on the run You'll soon have it done And have a lot of fun. For all good things come to him that waits If you do not too long hesitate. But pitch right in with a grin And do the very best you "kin." Now "I can't" is a no-good guy; He always says, "If I could I would try." But "I can do" is always true And he will always win for you. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...A COTTAGE IN THE MIDST' by KENNETH REXROTH STILL ON WATER by KENNETH REXROTH THE LOVE POEMS OF MARICHIKO: 6 by KENNETH REXROTH REVELATION by LOUIS UNTERMEYER TO A FRIEND by JOHN GARDINER CALKINS BRAINARD PAX BRITANNICA by ALFRED AUSTIN THE ADVICE OF A JUDGE by EVERETT C.
