CONDEMNED, by                     Poet's Biography
First Line: I sing a song to silence
Last Line: Than others born to die.
Subject(s): Mortality

I sing a song to silence,
No one there is to hear;
The notes are echoed fear
Of my impermanence.

The music lives; but I
Enter the soundlessness,
A thing of clay no less
Than others born to die.
