ROSES remember; golden noons recall; Not one least joy of all our joys is lost. This yew has watched kisses like petals fall, And these flagged paths hold many a laughing ghost. This shivering blossom by wet night winds tossed, Has kept our windy strife. The madrigal Of our delight and what delight has cost, These things are known: the woods keep count of all. And so there's no denial; love's not yet Effaced and where's the end to you and me? Though summer's done with and our lips grown cold Are tranquil as they were before they met; Oh! friend have you forgotten? Arcady Remembers. We were young.
