SILHOUETTE, by
First Line: The date palm spreads its stately fronds
Last Line: A masterpiece of art.
Subject(s): Love

The date palm spreads its stately fronds
Against a smiling moon
That throws in regal, glad largess
Its silver on each dune.
So, love, you are a silhouette
Against my seeking heart,
Like date palm cameoed on the moon,
A masterpiece of art.
