GOD'S UNSPEAKABLE GIFT, by MACEY P. SEALEY First Line: One christmas night in the long ago Last Line: "it's ""god's unspeakable gift." Subject(s): Christmas; Jesus Christ; Nativity, The | ||||||||
One Christmas night in the long ago, When the heavenly choir came, To sing of "God's Unspeakable Gift," And praise His wonderful name, Heaven came down in blessing to earth, Bringing salvation so free. Never was there such marvelous love, Given to you and to me. He left the throne and His rightful place, The burden of sin to lift, And came to this world of pain and woe, As "God's Unspeakable Gift." His Kingdom is one of righteousness, And His reign shall never cease. His name is "Wonderful, Counsellor," And the blessed "Prince of Peace." His work was finished on Calvary For all who had gone adrift, No words can ever express the thought-- It's "God's Unspeakable Gift." | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...DIFFERENT VIEWS; A CHRISMAS DUET by JOSEPH ASHBY-STERRY AN UNMERRY CHRISTMAS by AMBROSE BIERCE CHRISTMAS IN CHINATOWN by AUGUST KLEINZAHLER CHRISTMAS TREE by JOHN FREDERICK NIMS ISAIAH'S COAL by JOHN FREDERICK NIMS SOUNDS OF THE RESURRECTED DEAD MAN'S FOOTSTEPS (#3): 1.
