EARLY SPRING, by DOROTHY KINSEY SHISLER First Line: More like autumn this day seems Last Line: Of hospitable spring. Subject(s): Autumn; Nature; Seasons; Spring; Sun; Fall | |||
More like autumn this day seems, than lively nascent spring. Faded yellow-gray-green, limitless lonely acres extend to the colorless horizon. Gray spiky tree-silhouettes posture against the watery pale blue sky. But the sunshine, though still dilute with white winter's chill, has a friendly welcoming warmth of hospitable spring. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...OUR AUTUMN by ELIZABETH AKERS ALLEN AN AUTUMN JOY by GEORGE ARNOLD A LEAF FALLS by MARION LOUISE BLISS THE FARMER'S BOY: AUTUMN by ROBERT BLOOMFIELD A LETTER IN OCTOBER by TED KOOSER AUTUMN EVENING by DAVID LEHMAN EVERYTHING THAT ACTS IS ACTUAL by DENISE LEVERTOV FOR THE NEW YEAR by EDWIN MARKHAM THE LOVE SONNETS OF PROTEUS: 112.
