IN A CHAPEL, by
First Line: Why is it that I seek
Last Line: I call my world -- subdued, or gone entirely.
Subject(s): Churches; Cathedrals

Why is it that I seek
A place so quiet, so alone, apart?
What draws me here to sit
And dream, sometimes to pray, and search my heart?

From somewhere bells ring out --
So far away and faint they seem;
The wind, the stars, and all
I call my world -- subdued, or gone entirely.
