COMMENDATORY VERSES TO WILLIAM BROWNE'S 'BRITANNIA'S PASTORALS', by
First Line: But stop, my muse, listen to willie's lays
Last Line: Thou charming sweetly, listen unto thee.
Subject(s): Browne, William (1591-1645)

Carmina amo, mihi, Wille, placet tua fistula: felix! En resonant laudes illa,
vel illa tuas.

BUT stop, my Muse, listen to Willy's lays,
Hark whiles the Echo doth resound his praise;
Let others speak, forbid not, but let me
Thou charming sweetly, listen unto thee.
