Subject(s): Happiness; Joy; Delight

I wonder if happiness
Can be found at any place
Or, were you to come to me now,
If we could laugh as happily
As we did then
Beside that fetid stream,
Beneath that age-scarred tree!

I think it is you whom I need
to make my laughters true
and filled with music.

Yet I wonder ...
Was it you
Who gave me that magic day?
Or was it a fetid stream?
Or was it an age-scarred tree?
