First Line: A relentless use of a relentless whip
Last Line: We do what the whip shall say.
Subject(s): Desire

A relentless use of a relentless whip
And we mortals must obey;
No thoughts of our own or sense to resent --
We do what the whip shall say.

Kindness and pity seem but a phase
Of a deranged and childish mind;
Heartbreak and anguish considered as naught,
We must unswervingly grind.

Love is a mockery -- hate but a flare,
We have no time to delay;
For on and on in perfect rhyme
We do what the whip shall say.
