GREENBRIER VALLEY, by
First Line: Such scenic beauty do I behold
Last Line: Over cliff crags against the sky.
Subject(s): Nature

Such scenic beauty do I behold
That I am breathless. The russet gold

Of ripened wheat -- the green yield
Of tall straight corn across the field --

And a river, a clear sheen,
Stretches lazily while trees lean

Against her banks. Hawks circle high
Over cliff crags against the sky.
