this word is spoken at the open door: for the Prophet Eliahu 1 THE CURSE pour out thy wrath upon the nations that do not know thee & upon the kingdoms that call not upon thy name for they have beaten Jacob & laid waste his dwelling: pour out thy wrath upon them: & may the kindling of thine anger overtake them: pursue them with anger & destroy them from under God's skies 2 THE POEM not to us Adonai not to us but to your name be praises for love of us for truth's sake why should the goyim say: where is their god? & our god in the skies all that he wanted done their idols gold & silver workings of the hands of man whose mouths are wordless eyes are sightless ears are deaf nose dead to smell hands without touch feet without motion can't utter sound thru throats like these be those who made them Used with the permission of Copper Canyon Press, P.O.
