When a collector found
The Book, with hand tooled leather bound,
And edged with bronze, engraved, and rare --
He quite forgot the questing spirits there.
It mattered not that on the yellowed pages
Was writ the Story of the Ages.
He gave no thought to poetry sublime --
He paid a shocking sum --
And never read a line!
