SHARING HIS CROSS, by GRACIA L. FERO First Line: Should I tread with ease the path he trod with sorrow? Last Line: In gaining my crown, I'd gladly share his cross. Subject(s): Jesus Christ | ||||||||
Should I tread with ease the path He trod with sorrow? Should I know but joy when He knew poignant pain? Should I face the dawn of each succeeding morrow With less than His courage strong to meet the strain? Whatever each day may hold, I'd meet it bravely, With joy counting this world's gain but trifling loss; And though I am often tired and sometimes lonely, In gaining my crown, I'd gladly share His cross. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE GREEN CHRIST by ANDREW HUDGINS MEDITATION ON SAVIORS by ROBINSON JEFFERS COMPANIONSHIP by MALTBIE DAVENPORT BABCOCK TO A WREN ON CALVARY by LARRY LEVIS THE TRANSFIGURATION by EDWIN MUIR SOUNDS OF THE RESURRECTED DEAD MAN'S FOOTSTEPS (#3): 1.
