Subject(s): Dreams; Memory; Nightmares

I HAVE wandered towards the sunset in the silence of the evening,
At my feet the quivering beauty of an opalescent sea,
Comes the magic hush of sunset and the mystic hour of evening,
As the ships drift back to harbour, so my thoughts return to me.

They will linger in the harbour through the star-kissed hours of darkness,
They will sleep amid the silence till the veils are slowly drawn,
They will wake and vanish swiftly from the poppied port of darkness
To the storm-swept reefs of danger in the dream-dissolving dawn.
