THE PIONEERS, by
First Line: The foot speaks
Last Line: For comrades there behind.
Subject(s): Pioneers

The Foot speaks:
Into the void I go,
Stubbed and sore and blind,
Some trail unworn to tread,
Some bourne beyond to find.

The Hand speaks:
Into the vast I reach,
Through callused palm divined
Some groped-for good to grasp
For comrades there behind.
