DO NOT COVET, by
First Line: Away back in the time of moses
Last Line: "pray for ""peace on earth"" to stay."
Subject(s): Greed; Avarice; Cupidity

Away back in the time of Moses,
When right was might -- no time for poses,
"Do not covet", came the command.
Has mankind heeded this demand?

If so, would there have been a war?
Or do you wonder what 'twas for?
What is the good of worldly gain
If men by millions die in vain?

Now more than ever before in life
Man is suffering because of strife!
So let us on this Christmas day
Pray for "Peace on Earth" to stay.
