DANDELION, by EMMET PENDLETON First Line: The dandelion has gone to seed Last Line: Her daintiness to hold her there. Alternate Author Name(s): Pendleton, Robert Emmet Subject(s): Dandelions; Flowers; Weeds | ||||||||
The dandelion has gone to seed, Is now an astral crown Of fluffy, snowy down, That soon on breezes will be freed. Within its charm a fairy lives, As happy as can be, And all, yes, all to me Her soul of joy she gladly gives. My whole concern is for her care Within the downy ball, Since fancy can enthrall Her daintiness to hold her there. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...JUST THE WIND FOR A SOUND, SOFTLY by CARL PHILLIPS TO THE DANDELION by JAMES RUSSELL LOWELL WEEDS by EDNA ST.
