Father Felipe forgot to pray, All one sunshiny April day. Into his chamber that night he wore A necklace of thorns -- oh, they pricked him sore. As he knelt in a silence of grief and shame At midnight, a radiant angel came; She touched the necklace, and every thorn Sprang into life -- a rose new born. Next morning, the fathers watched him tell His roses, and whispered, "A miracle." | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE ROSARY by ROBERT CAMERON ROGERS THE ROSARY by CHARLOTTE A.
