MOOD, by NATE SALSBURY First Line: She loves me! / wherefore I walk lightfoot Last Line: Keep 'em, you robber! Alternate Author Name(s): Ireland, Baron Subject(s): Love; Love - Complaints | ||||||||
She loves me! Wherefore I walk lightfoot On cushioning summer clouds And shout my gladness To the sun. What means to me now The sordid lure of gold Or the wolf-snarls of traders In the market-place? Bah! Nay -- to-night my love and I Shall fill our souls with music And upon the sob of 'cellos And the pulsing of violins Through the great hall We shall be lifted Out of the Material into the Ineffable! * * * * * * * * Whazzat?
