Subject(s): Beauty; Fields; Gardens & Gardening; October; Pastures; Meadows; Leas

There's a murmur in the meadow,
There's a cheeping on the hill,
There's a crimson-colored dogwood
Launching shallops on the rill;
There's a russet oak in the lane
And a red one by the mill,
O there's orange in the valley
And there's paisley on the hill.
There's beauty still in the garden --
But there's sadness in the call
That these gypsy colors offer
For the pageantry of Fall.
