FAITH, by EMMA THOMAS SCOVILLE First Line: Faith is a blessed candle light Last Line: And quiet peace. Subject(s): Comfort; Faith; Self; Belief; Creed | ||||||||
FAITH IS A BLESSED CANDLE LIGHT In dark of night, Illuminating earth's dim way With steady ray. Faith has the power to make me strong Life's whole day long; And I can walk my little space With better grace. Faith is a joy I cannot see That comforts me I do not need a human sign For things divine. Faith is a flame within my heart, A living part Its upward lift brings soul-release And quiet peace. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...UNHOLY SONNET 4 by MARK JARMAN QUIA ABSURDUM by ROBINSON JEFFERS GOING TO THE HORSE FLATS by ROBINSON JEFFERS SONNET TO FORTUNE by LUCY AIKEN JONATHAN EDWARDS IN WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS by ROBERT LOWELL RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION by MINA LOY A PURPLE HEART BADGE by EMMA THOMAS SCOVILLE |
