First Line: I wrap each gift in cellophane
Last Line: By giving things I hate!
Subject(s): Gifts & Giving

I wrap each gift in cellophane
And seal it with a sigh,
The selfish urge has come again
To keep the things I buy.

These candlesticks would look so dear
Each side the ingle place,
The Scotty book-ends lend such cheer,
I love this Chinese vase.

The boudoir lamp I really need,
And new books, what a fate,
I vow next year to curb my greed
By giving things I hate!
