DOROTHY'S DIMPLES, by AMOS RUSSEL WELLS Poet's Biography First Line: As soft sunbeams plash Last Line: And smile with her smile. Subject(s): Dimples | ||||||||
As soft sunbeams plash In a lakelet of white, So Dorothy's dimples Are dimples of light. And as little waves run From that plashment away, So the curve of her smile Widens out through the day; Widens out to the faces That see her the while, That move to her dimples And smile with her smile. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...TOUJOURS AMOUR by EDMUND CLARENCE STEDMAN CUPID - HIS MARK by THEODOSIA (PICKERING) GARRISON BABY'S DIMPLES by JOHN BANISTER TABB DAISY'S DIMPLES by JOSEPH ASHBY-STERRY SWEET-TOOTH WITCH by JAMES RICHARD BROUGHTON LAND OF THE GIANTS by STAN FRIEDMAN LITTLE QUAKER SINNER by LUCY MAUD MONTGOMERY WHAT IS BIBBIDI-BOBNBIDI-BOO IN SANSKRIT? by OGDEN NASH DIMPLE IN YOUR CHIN by UNKNOWN A BATTLE SONG (WRITTEN IN THE WORLD WAR) by AMOS RUSSEL WELLS |
