THISTLEDOWN: 6, by
First Line: I put my heart in a bell
Last Line: "whose love is dead."

I PUT my Heart in a bell.
"Now ring, now ring," I said,
"So every one may hear
My love is dead."

I gave my Heart to a bird.
"Now sing it out," I said,
"So all who list may know
My love is dead."

I gave my Heart to a flower.
"Who plucks shall find," I said,
"The flower hides a heart
Whose love is dead."
