BECAUSE I know you fine amid life's tinsel,
Loyal as steel, and splendidly secure,
Clear-eyed and gentle, blessed with heavenly laughter,
Strong to endure:
Loving and dreaming of you has shaped my spirit,
Winged it for flights unsought, unguessed before.
To all the realms of grace I now inherit
You are the door.
