Almighty God, the Wonderful, The Counsellor and Friend, The King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, Before whom all shall bend, That's JESUS. The Son of God, the Perfect One, The Lamb for sinners slain, The Fount of living waters pure That cleanses ev'ry stain, That's JESUS. Redeemer, Saviour, Light of men, The Master of us all, Blest Intercessor at the Throne, To answer when we call, That's JESUS. The Great I Am, the Truth, the Life, The Way of Holiness, The Giver of each perfect gift, With hand outstretched to bless, That's JESUS. The Prince of Peace who calms the wave, The Rock in which to hide, A Shelter in the time of storm Where safety doth abide, That's JESUS. The Captain of the frailest barque On life's uncertain sea, The Pilot, the all-knowing Guide, Whate'er the danger be, That's JESUS. A Tower strong when battles wage, A Mighty Fortress, too, Deliverer from ev'ry foe In conflicts ever new, That's JESUS. The Comforter when skies grow dark, The Bearer of the load, The One who smooths the stony path, Makes straight the crooked road, That's JESUS. The Word with God before the world, The Word which shall endure Tho' thrones may totter, mountains reel, All earth be insecure, That's JESUS. The Great Physician, Gilead's Balm, The Sun of Righteousness Who waits with healing in His wings The whole wide world to bless, That's JESUS. Baptizer with the Holy Ghost, Endowing man with power, The Giver of the latter rain In full and copious shower, That's JESUS. The Rose of Sharon, crimson red, Its Perfume, sweet and rare, The Lily of the Valley, purest white, The Fairest of the Fair, That's JESUS. The Chief among ten thousand, The Bright and Morning Star, The altogether Lovely One Who bears the nail-print scar, That's JESUS. The Lover true of my poor soul, The Bridegroom coming soon To catch His waiting Bride away At morn, at night, or noon, That's JESUS.
